1. Food
Huggers, $15 (foodhuggers.com): If you have opted out of taking fruit to
the beach with you in the past due to the inability to keep it fresh than you’ll
definitely want to bring some of these along with you on your beach trip. These
nesting silicone food savers create a tight seal by wrapping around your
leftover fruits & veggies.
2. zoe
b organic Fantastic Beach Toys, $22 (zoeborganic.com): These eye-catching
beach toys are made from corn instead of petroleum and are safer for kids
without toxic chemicals like BPA and phthalates.
One thing I loved about these beach toys was that if by chance they get washed
out to sea, they will break down 2-3 years versus the 500 year breakdown of ordinary beach toys.
3. Platypus
Australia Baby Kids Swimsuit w/ Bow, $39 (platypusaustralia.com): I’m
really not a fan of little babies in bikini style bathing suits. I think the
style is a little too grown-up for such little munchkins that’s why when
swimsuit shopping for my little girl I go for the cutest one-piece I can find
like this one. It features the rose print with a keyhole back and of course,
ruffles!
4. House
of Botori Toriola Tote, $80 (houseofbotori.com): No beach trip with baby is
complete without a spacious baby/diaper bag to haul it all in. This House of
Botori Tote boasts a trio of exterior pockets and seven interior pockets.
5. beachBub Umbrella Base &
collar, $25 (beachbub.com): So I went to the beach with my kiddies two
weeks ago and boy do I wish I had this with me on the trip. It was Fourth of
July weekend and the beach was PACKED! Towards the end of our beach stay the
wind started to pick up and I literally had to chase after one of our umbrellas
three times. To make matters worse there was an older couple laying out very
closely behind us and the umbrella kept hitting and rolling over them; needless
to say they were annoyed. -_- (oops!) Anywho – this umbrella base fits standard
umbrella poles and you simply fill it with sand to keep the umbrella from going
rogue like mine did.
6. Baby
Mantra Calming Lotion, $14 (drugstore.com): When it’s time to head home
glide this calming lotion over baby’s skin to help “calm” the skin from the sun’s
irritation. Hopefully baby will be so calm he’ll nap in the car on the way
home.
7. Sun Bum
SPF 30 Baby Bum Premium Natural Lotion, $18 (dermstore.com): There’s a
reason this sunscreen is sold-out pretty much everywhere. It’s made without
dehydrating ingredients so this gentle lotion keeps skin shielded without
irritating it as well.
8. ZooMoos, $20
(zoomoss.com): These cute little animal sippy cup holders are the perfect
accessory to have for a day at the beach to keep baby’s drink cold.
9. Little
Me Tea – 30 count, $32 (amazon.com): USDA Organic, Caffeine free and gluten
free. Six grams of sugar per box without additives or high fructose corn syrup.
10. ciao! Baby
Portable High Chair, $62 (amazon.com): This is the perfect accessory to
have for traveling with baby in general; not just for a day at the beach. When
baby’s gotta eat, baby’s gotta eat and now no matter where you go you can feed
baby with ease when you pop open this portable high chair.
11. The
Coolest Cooler, $185 (kickstarter.com): Some of you might have seen the
introductory video for this product floating around your Facebook walls like I
have. I was literally flabbergasted at all of the things this cooler comes
equipped with such as a blender, usb charger, removable waterproof Bluetooth speaker,
cutting board, and storage for plates and a knife. The product is available for
pre-order now on Kickstarter.
