So, this week I came across two beauty products
that I thought were pretty interesting. The first is the Cerafly, which is an FDA
approved headband used for the prevention of migraines. The battery-powered device resembles a headband and
is affixed to the center of the forehead using a self-adhesive electrode. This
electrode then applies an electric current to the skin and underlying body
tissues to stimulate branches of the trigeminal nerve, which has been
associated with migraine headaches. Cefaly® is available by
prescription-only and indicated for patients 18 years of age and older. It
should be used only once daily for 20 minutes. ($299 cefaly.com)
The other product is
called a Sun
Glove by Bloxsun. The Sun Glove
is a UPF50+ glove that protects against the aging and damaging rays of the sun.
Unlike most cold weather gloves, these don’t cover your finger tips so you can
go about your daily routine of texting, tweeting, and “Vining” without
interruption. The gloves are made of 95% nylon and 5% spandex. ($40 bloxsun.com)
So, what do you
think? Would you add either one of these innovative beauty products to your Beauty Closet, or would you pass on them
and why?
