HOW TO SURVIVE FASHION WEEK

Today kicks off the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week shows for Spring/Summer 2014. Although we’ve barely been able to step out in our Fall ‘13 attire Spring twenty fourteen will be here before you know it. Most people who attend the shows and events know that outside of model clad streets, NYFW also means lack of sleep, going hours without food, and aching feet. Here’s a few things to help the craze of Fashion Week move a little smoother.

.Ephiphanie Camel Clover Laptop + Camera Bag, $185 ephiphaniebags.com: This chic multifuncational bag combines  fashion & funcation with the space and interior ability to hold a 15” laptop, a camera plus attached lenses, flash drive, battery pack, wallet, keys, cellphones, memory card and more.

.Pinch Provisions Mimimergency Kit, $13 pinchprovisions.com: If you’ve seen my ‘Mommy Essentials for Back to School’ post then you’ve seen these Pinch Provisions kits before. Lose a button in between shows? No worries, this minimergency kit includes needle and thread. Have a slight hair emergency? Don’t fret, this kit includes a hairspray and 16 other things that will come in handy when you’re in a…..well, ‘pinch’.
.Ioma Paris Soothing Gel for Legs, $75 saksfifthavenue.com: This magical gel boots microcirculation, strengthens vein walls and provides instant long-lasting coolness. Just what you need to cure sore, tired legs after a long day at the “tents”.
.Boostcase Hybrid Battery for iPhone 5, $99 boostcase.com: A booked NYFW schedule can mean hours before getting to the nearest outlet so be sure to have a battery back-up like this external battery case by Boostcase.
.Canon Power Shot G1x, $700 usa.canon.com: Capture even the fastest walking runway models with the high speed burst feature that continuously captures 6 frames.
.Bellasox Prince Flat, $60 corsocomoshoes.com: The perfect flats to have in your bag for a quick shoe change. They come with their own carrying pouch and features a form-fitting sock sewn into the lining for a new level of comfort.
.Business Cards, $10 - $50: Your business card is probably the most powerful asset you can have when it comes to getting access to shows and events during NYFW. Get a generic version from sites like Vistaprint or Moo or get a custom design like mine designed by @mafiamartin.
.Nuero Sonic Water, $3 amazon.com: Stay alert with this drink’s powerful “brain support” blend that gives the energy boost needed plus experience more alertness and concentration. Just what you need to refocus and push through the rest of the day.
.Microsoft Surface RT, $350 www.bestbuy.com: Have some time in between shows? That’s the perfect time to write your show recaps or blog posts. A small but versatile tablet like the Microsoft Surface makes working on the go a breeze.
